Keep your Volkswagen Transporter’s engine oil at a safe, stable temperature with the Wagner Tuning Competition Oil Cooler Kit. Designed specifically for the 2.0 TDI and 2.0 BiTDI T6 and T6.1 platforms, this upgrade adds extra cooling capacity to help maintain consistent oil pressure when the engine is working hard, whether that’s towing, long motorway runs, hot weather, or after performance tuning.

Oil that runs too hot loses its protective properties and viscosity, which can lead to reduced oil pressure and increased wear over time. By giving the oil more surface area to shed heat, this kit helps protect the engine and supports more consistent performance under sustained load.

Vehicle Fitment

This kit is designed for the following Volkswagen Transporter models:

• VW T6 2.0 TDI (2016-2019), 110 kW / 150 hp – engine codes CXHA, CXFA
• VW T6.1 2.0 TDI (2019+), 110 kW / 150 hp – engine code DNAA
• VW T6 2.0 BiTDI (2016-2019), 146-150 kW / 199-204 hp – engine codes CXEC, CXEB
• VW T6.1 2.0 BiTDI (2019+), 146-150 kW / 199-204 hp – engine codes CXEC, DMZA

Important: This kit is not compatible with the older VW EA189 engine series. For smaller TDI engines, the water cooler (OEM part number 7E0121212B) must also be replaced. Please use the site’s vehicle lookup or check the Vehicle Fitment tab to confirm compatibility before ordering.

Installation Notes

We strongly recommend renewing the following OEM gaskets when fitting the kit. These are not supplied and should be ordered separately:

• 3x gasket – OEM 03N 117 070
• 1x gasket – OEM 03N 115 441

After installation you may notice a slight whirring noise caused by oil pulsation through the new lines. This is normal and can be reduced by decoupling the lines from rigid contact points during fitting.

Approval: According to the KBA (German Federal Motor Transport Authority), oil coolers are not subject to approval and do not require a parts certificate for registration.
