This Wagner Tuning downpipe is a direct replacement for the factory unit fitted to the 2007-2018 Subaru WRX STI. It is built to reduce exhaust back pressure – the resistance hot gases face as they exit the engine – so the turbocharger and engine can breathe more freely. What Makes This Downpipe Different?

Wagner Tuning use CAD (computer-aided design) to shape the internal flow path of the downpipe, reducing turbulence and helping exhaust gases exit as smoothly and quickly as possible. The wider 76mm (3 inch) diameter, compared to the narrower factory pipe, supports this improved flow. It can also help reduce heat build-up around the turbocharger, which may contribute to longer turbo life over time.

A lambda probe connection point is included, allowing the vehicle’s oxygen sensor to be fitted in the correct position for accurate exhaust gas readings – important for engine management and fuelling.

The downpipe is manufactured from cast stainless steel (grade SS304 / 1.4301), which offers strong resistance to the high temperatures and corrosive conditions found inside an exhaust system.
