Wagner Tuning Downpipe with Cat Replacement Pipe – Subaru WRX STI (2007-2018)
This downpipe kit from Wagner Tuning is designed to reduce exhaust back pressure on the 2007-2018 Subaru WRX STI, helping the turbocharged engine breathe more freely. The result is sharper throttle response, stronger torque delivery, and a more direct connection between the turbo and the rest of the exhaust system.
The kit is built from cast stainless steel (grade 1.4301 / SS304), chosen for its strength, heat resistance, and long-term corrosion protection. Every component is CAD-designed and flow-optimised, meaning the internal shape has been engineered to keep exhaust gases moving efficiently rather than creating turbulence or restriction.
What’s Included
- Ø76mm (3 inch) downpipe – replacing the restrictive factory unit for improved exhaust flow
- Racing metal catalytic converter (300 CPSI with EU6 coating) – a high-flow catalyst that keeps emissions control in check while reducing restriction compared to the standard cat
- Ø76mm (3 inch) after-cat replacement pipe – for additional exhaust flow flexibility
- Lambda probe connection – allowing your oxygen sensor (the sensor that reads exhaust gases for fuelling purposes) to be fitted correctly
By reducing the thermal load on the turbocharger (meaning less heat stress on the turbo itself), this kit can also contribute to improved turbo longevity over time. Installation is straightforward, with a direct OEM replacement fit and no complex modifications required.
Important Notice – Catalytic Converter Use
Wagner Tuning catalytic converters are designed for use on standard, unmodified vehicles for performance optimisation purposes only. They are NOT intended for use alongside ECU tuning (remapping), burble tunes, or any other engine management modifications.
Wagner Tuning accepts no responsibility for damage caused by modified ECU mapping, rich or lean fuelling conditions, or engine malfunctions that affect the catalytic converter. All warranty claims for the catalytic converter require proof that the engine remains in standard, manufacturer-specified condition and has been properly maintained.
It is the end user’s responsibility to ensure that the use of a non-OEM catalytic converter is legal in their region.

0 IN STOCK in blue means our primary warehouse does not have unallocated stock, but our UK partners do. Often these can be shipped quickly and efficiently. You'll be notified via the Track My Order page if further delays are unavoidable.
MADE TO ORDER in blue means we've partnered with a supplier which primarily makes their products to order. It's not on our shelf, but your order goes into production immediately.
0 IN STOCK in orange means everybody we work with is unfortunately out of stock. Stock is not available in the UK. The best course of action is to place an order to create an allocation from the next batch arriving.
OUT OF STOCK in red. This product is unavailable to order, for whatever reason we're unable to obtain stock or there is an issue with supply/lead times.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
Products on the Progressive Parts website that meet this approval will be clearly marked or labelled EC or ECE approved.
