Wagner Tuning Oxygen Sensor Eliminator – 45° Mini Catalyst (600CPSI)
If you’ve modified your exhaust system or removed the main catalytic converter for motorsport use, your engine management system will almost certainly start throwing fault codes. This happens because the ECU (the car’s main computer) uses oxygen sensors, also called lambda sensors, to monitor exhaust gases. When the readings don’t match what the ECU expects, a warning light appears. The Wagner Tuning Oxygen Sensor Eliminator is built specifically to deal with this issue.
This unit fits between the exhaust and the oxygen sensor, acting as a spacer that moves the sensor away from the direct flow of exhaust gases. Inside the spacer is a small mini-catalyst that conditions the gases passing over the sensor, bringing the readings closer to what the ECU is looking for. The result is fewer (or no) fault codes related to catalyst monitoring, allowing the engine management system to run without interruption.
What this version offers
This is the 600CPSI ceramic mini-catalyst version with EU5 coating. CPSI stands for “cells per square inch” and refers to how fine the catalyst matrix is – a higher CPSI means more surface area for the exhaust gases to interact with the catalyst material. The 600CPSI ceramic substrate with EU5 coating is well suited to EU5-era vehicles and setups where a denser catalyst matrix is needed to satisfy the ECU’s lambda monitoring.
The 45-degree angled design helps with fitment in tight spaces around the exhaust, where a straight sensor bung simply wouldn’t fit or would foul on nearby components.
Key benefits
- Helps reduce or eliminate catalyst-related fault codes after a decat or sports exhaust install
- 600CPSI ceramic mini-catalyst with EU5 coating for effective gas conditioning
- 45° angled body for easier installation in confined exhaust areas
- Repositions the lambda sensor away from direct exhaust flow for more stable readings
Important Information
This product is exclusively intended for motorsport vehicles that are not used on public roads. It is not legal for road use and does not comply with road traffic regulations (StVZO or equivalent UK road legislation). By purchasing this item, you confirm that it will not be fitted to any vehicle driven on a public road.
Please also note that while this eliminator is designed to reduce or remove catalyst-related fault codes, a 100% guarantee cannot be given. Results can vary depending on your vehicle’s ECU calibration and how sensitive its lambda monitoring is set up to be.
Fitment
Compatibility depends on the thread size and configuration of the oxygen sensor bung on your existing exhaust. Please use the vehicle lookup tool on this site, or check the Vehicle Fitment tab, to confirm this part is suitable for your specific application before ordering.
