The Wagner Tuning Monolith is a high-flow universal catalyst module built for performance exhaust applications. Supplied as a bare monolith ready for welding into a custom housing or downpipe, it gives fabricators and tuners a flexible solution for replacing restrictive OEM catalysts or building a sports cat from scratch.
With a 200 cells per square inch (CPSI) cell density, this catalyst strikes a sensible balance between exhaust gas cleaning and flow. Lower cell counts allow gases to pass through more freely, helping to reduce backpressure and free up power, particularly on turbocharged engines where exhaust flow has a direct impact on response and output.

What Does a Sports Catalyst Do?
A catalytic converter (or “cat”) cleans up harmful gases produced by the engine before they leave the exhaust. Factory cats are often very restrictive, which can choke a tuned engine. A sports cat like the Wagner Monolith uses a lower cell density to let gases flow more easily while still treating emissions, helping to recover power lost through restrictive OEM components and reduce exhaust backpressure.
Installation Notes
This is a universal welded-in monolith, not a bolt-on part. It is intended to be installed by an experienced exhaust fabricator into a suitable stainless steel housing. Correct positioning in the exhaust system, along with proper heat management and welding technique, is essential to ensure the catalyst performs as intended and lasts in service.

0 IN STOCK in blue means our primary warehouse does not have unallocated stock, but our UK partners do. Often these can be shipped quickly and efficiently. You'll be notified via the Track My Order page if further delays are unavoidable.
MADE TO ORDER in blue means we've partnered with a supplier which primarily makes their products to order. It's not on our shelf, but your order goes into production immediately.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
Products on the Progressive Parts website that meet this approval will be clearly marked or labelled EC or ECE approved.
