The Wagner Tuning catless downpipe is a direct replacement for the restrictive factory downpipe fitted to BMW N55-engined models. By removing the main catalytic converter (the component in the exhaust that cleans emissions), exhaust gases can flow more freely away from the turbocharger. This reduces back pressure, helping the engine breathe better and unlock more of its potential. The result is a noticeable gain in power and torque, sharper throttle response, and a deeper, more characterful exhaust note.

Manufactured from high-quality 1.4301 grade stainless steel (also known as SS304), the downpipe is built to resist corrosion and cope with the repeated heat cycles of performance driving. The 76mm pipework has been CAD-designed specifically for these BMW applications, so it fits precisely in place of the original part without the need for modification.

Why Fit a Catless Downpipe?

The factory downpipe on the N55 engine is one of the biggest restrictions in the exhaust system. Important Information Before Fitting

After fitting this downpipe, the ECU (the car’s engine management computer) will need to be coded or remapped to prevent an engine management warning light from appearing. We strongly recommend this work is carried out by a qualified specialist familiar with the N55 platform.

This is a catless product (no catalytic converter). It is intended for motorsport and off-road use only. It is not road legal in the UK or most of Europe and must not be used on public roads.
