Important – ECU Coding Required

Because this kit removes the catalytic converters entirely, the car’s ECU (engine control unit, the car’s main computer) must be coded or remapped to prevent an engine management warning light from appearing on the dashboard. This is not optional. Without coding, the car will display fault codes related to the missing catalysts. Please ensure this work is carried out by a competent tuner or specialist as part of the installation.

Minor adjustments to fitment may also be required during installation, depending on the specific vehicle and any existing modifications already fitted to the exhaust system.

Things to Consider Before Buying

A catless downpipe is primarily aimed at track use or vehicles already running a performance tune. It will increase exhaust noise noticeably, and the car will no longer be road-legal for emissions testing in most regions, including MOT testing in the UK. This product is best suited to dedicated track cars or off-road and competition use. If you need a road-legal option, consider a sports cat downpipe instead.
