The Wagner Tuning Competition Intercooler Kit is a direct upgrade for the Audi A4, A4 Allroad and A5 B8.5 2.0 TDI. It replaces the restrictive factory intercooler with a far larger, more efficient core, helping your engine maintain consistent power even under sustained load or in warmer conditions.

An intercooler cools the compressed air from the turbo before it enters the engine. Cooler, denser air means more efficient combustion, more reliable power delivery and better protection against heat soak (the loss of performance that happens when the standard intercooler can’t shed heat quickly enough).

What makes this intercooler different

The core measures 610mm x 440mm x 65mm with a total volume of 17.446 litres. That works out to a 178% larger flow area and 158% more charge air volume than the OEM unit, yet it still weighs only 9.1kg thanks to its cast aluminium end tanks and efficient internal design.

Inside the core, Wagner Tuning’s Competition high-performance mesh uses internal turbulators to improve heat transfer. The cast aluminium end tanks have been shaped using CAD and CFD simulations, with an integrated air guide that distributes airflow evenly across the entire core – so you get consistent cooling rather than hot spots.

The whole assembly is finished with an anti-corrosion coating that protects against road grime and weather while still allowing excellent heat dissipation. It’s pressure tested up to 6 bar, making it suitable for both road and track use.

This kit is designed for the Audi A4 B8.5, A4 Allroad B8.5, A5 B8.5 and A5 Sportback B8.5 with the 2.0 TDI engine (2013 onwards), covering engine codes CJCA, CJCB, CMFA, CGLC, CGLD, CJCC, CMGB and CJCD.
