Why It Makes a Difference

The standard factory intake on the Mustang 2.3 EcoBoost is designed with cost and noise reduction in mind, not outright airflow. By replacing it with a larger, less restrictive intake system, the engine can draw in air more freely. This supports the turbocharger (the forced-induction unit that pushes compressed air into the engine) in working more efficiently, which can contribute to improved throttle response and a more engaging induction sound under acceleration.
