Ramair Performance Air Intake Kit (Foam Filter) – VW Polo GTI, Audi S1 (8X) & SEAT Ibiza Cupra EA888

This Ramair induction kit is a direct replacement for the factory airbox on vehicles fitted with the 1.8 TSI or 2.0 TFSI EA888 engine. It is designed to increase airflow into the engine, reduce intake restriction, and add a more noticeable induction sound – all while bolting straight onto the standard OEM mounting points without any cutting or modification.

The kit replaces the restrictive standard intake setup with a larger foam cone filter, a full aluminium intake pipe, and a precision-formed heat shield. The result is a cleaner, more direct path for air to reach the turbocharger (the forced induction unit that pushes compressed air into the engine). An ECU remap – reprogramming the engine’s control unit to take advantage of the improved airflow – is not required to fit this kit, but will help you get the most from it if you choose to go that route.

What’s Included

• Jetstream Performance Foam Cone Filter – A large, double-radius foam filter with an aluminium base and stainless steel internal cage for structural support. The foam filtration medium flows more freely than a standard paper filter while still filtering incoming air effectively.
• Aluminium Intake Hard Pipe – A single-piece aluminium pipe that runs from the filter to the turbo inlet, incorporating a laser-cut bracket and connectors for the recirculation pipe (the hose that returns unused boost pressure back into the intake).
• Heat Shield with OEM Mounting Points – A laser-cut, powder-coated black heat shield that mounts directly to the standard airbox mounting points and rubbers. It separates the filter from the warmer parts of the engine bay and directs cooler air from the factory cold-air feed around the filter cone, helping to keep intake temperatures down.
• Enlarged Turbo Inlet Elbow – Replaces the standard restrictive OEM turbo inlet elbow with a larger, freer-flowing alternative.
• Full Fitting Kit – All necessary nuts, bolts, hose clamps, and silicone hose connectors are included for fitting to a standard, unmodified car.

Please note: This kit requires the use of some components from the original intake pipe and airbox during installation. Do not discard your standard parts before confirming which are needed for the fitting process.

This kit is designed for popular Volkswagen, Audi, and SEAT models fitted with the EA888 1.8 TSI or 2.0 TFSI engine. Compatible vehicles include the VW Polo GTI (6C), Audi A1 and S1 (8X), and SEAT Ibiza Cupra (6J) from the 2012-2018 model range.
