Ramair foam air filters work by trapping dirt and debris within their foam material, which is treated with a specialist polymer solution during manufacture. Over time, as the filter does its job, it becomes clogged with contaminants and needs to be cleaned and re-treated to keep performing at its best. This cleaning kit gives you everything you need to do exactly that.
Rather than replacing your filter, this kit lets you restore it properly – removing built-up dirt and refreshing the polymer treatment so the foam can continue to filter effectively. It is a straightforward process that extends the life of your Ramair filter considerably.

About the Cleaner
The solvent cleaner is designed to break down and remove the old polymer treatment along with the dirt it has trapped, without damaging the foam. It is non-toxic, non-corrosive, 100% organic, and fully biodegradable, making it safe to use at home.
About the Polymer Treatment
The polymer treatment – sometimes referred to as filter treatment or filter oil – is what gives Ramair filters their dirt-trapping ability. It is applied to the foam after cleaning to restore this property. Ramair’s polymer treatment is more advanced than standard filter oil, and using a substitute product may reduce your filter’s effectiveness and could affect your warranty. Always use the correct Ramair treatment when servicing your filter.
Keeping on top of filter maintenance is a small but worthwhile task. A clean, properly treated filter allows your engine to breathe freely, which supports consistent performance and helps protect the engine from fine particles getting through.

MADE TO ORDER in blue means we've partnered with a supplier which primarily makes their products to order. It's not on our shelf, but your order goes into production immediately.
0 IN STOCK in orange means everybody we work with is unfortunately out of stock. Stock is not available in the UK. The best course of action is to place an order to create an allocation from the next batch arriving.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
