PAGID RST 5E Racing Brake Pad (Shape 2560) S2560T5E001
The RST 5E is a race compound built for strong initial bite and consistent stopping power lap after lap. It blends the punchy feel of sprint pads with the durability needed for longer stints, giving confident braking and stable pedal feedback under high heat.
What it does
– High bite for short braking zones and late braking
– Stable friction at sustained track temperatures to resist fade
– Predictable modulation for smooth, controlled trail-braking
– Endurance-optimised wear to help extend pad life vs pure sprint compounds
Best suited to
– Circuit racing, club motorsport and time attack
– Track-day cars running slick or semi-slick tyres
– Heavy or high-power cars that generate high brake temperatures
Not ideal for daily road use. This is a racing compound and can be noisy, dusty and harsh when cold.

Bed-in guidance
Bring the pads up to temperature with several medium stops, then a few firm stops. Allow the brakes to cool while driving to complete the transfer layer. Avoid long holds on the pedal when hot.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
