PAGID RST 5E Racing Brake Pad (Shape 1361) S1361T5E001
Built for serious circuit work, the PAGID RST 5E compound delivers strong initial bite, stable friction and confident control under repeated hard braking. It is a sprint-focused racing pad that also copes well with short endurance stints. Expect firm pedal feel, easy modulation (fine control of braking force) and reliable fade resistance once up to temperature.
Use RST 5E for track days, club racing, time attack, hillclimb and tarmac rally. It can move the car on the road, but it is not designed for daily driving. Cold bite, noise and dust will be higher than OE pads.
Shape 1361 suits selected motorsport calipers and big brake kits. Fitment varies by car and brake setup. Please use our vehicle lookup to confirm fitment, or check the Vehicle Fitment tab for full details.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
