PAGID RST 3 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 8018) S8018T03001
The PAGID RST 3 is a sprint-focused racing compound with medium friction and very good control. It bites quickly from low temperature, stays consistent as heat builds, and releases cleanly so you can trail brake with confidence. It is often chosen on the rear axle to balance more aggressive front pads, but also works on the front where a medium level of friction is preferred.
Best for short to medium race stints, tarmac rally, hillclimb, club racing and fast track days. It is not designed for long endurance use.
Primarily for track and competition use. Expect more noise and dust than OE road pads.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
