What it does
RST 3 gives immediate braking power with precise modulation. It resists fade at high temperatures and stays consistent lap after lap. Expect fast bed-in, strong bite, and confident pedal feedback.
Best use
– Sprint racing, rally (gravel and tarmac), hillclimb, time attack, autocross.
– Front axle on lighter cars or high-grip tyres.
– Rear axle on heavier or high-downforce cars to balance bias.
– Not designed for long endurance stints. For long races, consider endurance compounds.

Bed-in guidance
Bring pads up to temperature with several medium stops. Follow with a few hard stops to lay an even transfer layer on the disc. Allow a cool-down drive. Repeat if needed until bite and feel stabilise.

Pick RST 3 if you want maximum bite and control for sprints, rally stages, or time attack. It suits drivers who brake late and need a strong, predictable response without long warm-up. For mixed road/track or long races, choose a more road-friendly or endurance compound.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
