PAGID RST 1 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 8100) S8100T01001
Built for short, intense sessions. The PAGID RST 1 gives a very high initial bite and strong, stable braking when hot. It suits sprint racing, tarmac rally, hillclimb and time attack, where fast response and repeatable stops matter.
Expect a firm pedal, quick build-up of friction, and confident modulation (easy to control braking force). It works from warm and comes into its own at higher temperatures. Pad wear is moderate to high in aggressive use, which is normal for this performance level.
Racing use only. May be noisy, dusty, and can increase disc wear. Proper bedding-in is essential.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
