PAGID RST 1 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 8060) – S8060T01001
The PAGID RST 1 is a full race compound built for short, intense sessions. It delivers very high friction with a strong initial bite. Pedal feel is firm and consistent, with fast release for stable ABS control.
Choose RST 1 for sprint circuit racing, tarmac rally, hillclimb, time attack and qualifying. It shines on the front axle where immediate stopping power matters. It performs best when hot and on cars running sticky tyres and uprated brakes.
Track use only. Not suitable for the road. Expect more noise, dust and wear than street pads.
Fitment
Pad shape 8060 is used in many popular motorsport calipers and big brake kits. Typical applications include track-prepared BMW, Audi, VW, Porsche and similar performance models. Use our vehicle lookup or check the Vehicle Fitment tab to confirm.

Usage notes
Bed in properly before pushing hard. Monitor pad and disc wear regularly. RST 1 can increase disc wear compared to milder compounds.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
