PAGID RST 1 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 2555) S2555T01001
The PAGID RST 1 is a high-friction racing pad designed for hard, short to medium distance use. It delivers a very strong initial bite, stable braking at high temperatures, and consistent pedal feel lap after lap. Ideal for serious circuit work, sprint racing, time attack, and tarmac rally.
Expect firm pedal response and powerful deceleration from cold to hot, with excellent fade resistance. Pad wear is controlled for the performance level, and disc wear is moderate when used within its operating window.
Motorsport compound only – not recommended for road use.

Compound suitability
– Front axle choice when maximum bite and deceleration are the priority.
– Pairs well with a slightly less aggressive rear compound if required for balance.
– Expect more noise and dust than street pads. Proper bedding-in is essential.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
