PAGID RST 1 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 1270) S1270T01001
Built for serious sprint racing. RST 1 delivers very high initial bite and strong, consistent stopping power lap after lap. It works best once hot and gives confident pedal feel when you push hard.
Racing-use only. Not suitable for normal road driving.
Why choose RST 1
RST 1 is a high-friction racing compound. It gives quick response on the first touch of the pedal and resists fade at high temperatures. Modulation is positive and direct, so you can brake later and control the car at the limit.
Best suited to
- Sprint racing and short to medium stints
- Track cars on slicks or aggressive semi-slicks
- Front axle use where maximum bite is needed
- Tarmac rally, time attack, club racing
Not recommended for
Cold running, road use, or long-distance endurance where lower wear and softer bite are preferred.

Bedding-in advice
Bed in with several gentle-to-medium stops to bring the pads up to temperature, then a few firm stops to transfer an even layer of material to the disc. Allow the brakes to cool before full race use.

MADE TO ORDER in blue means we've partnered with a supplier which primarily makes their products to order. It's not on our shelf, but your order goes into production immediately.
0 IN STOCK in orange means everybody we work with is unfortunately out of stock. Stock is not available in the UK. The best course of action is to place an order to create an allocation from the next batch arriving.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
