PAGID RSL 29 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 8038) E8038R2901
The PAGID RSL 29 is a proven endurance racing compound. It delivers strong, consistent braking with very low fade over long stints. Modulation is excellent, so you can control braking precisely even as discs heat up. Pad and disc wear are both low for a race pad, making it a trusted choice for long races and hard track days.
RSL 29 works best when hot. Cold bite is good for a race compound, but these pads come alive as temperatures build. Expect higher noise and dust than standard road pads.
Track-only recommendation: not ECE R90 approved. Increased noise, dust and rotor wear vs OE. Requires correct bed-in.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
