PAGID RSL 29 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 2555) E255529010
Built for endurance racing, the PAGID RSL 29 compound gives consistent stopping power over long stints with very low fade. It delivers strong, stable friction and gentle disc wear, making it a favourite for GT, touring car and long-distance track use. It also suits fast road and track-day cars that see heavy braking and sustained heat.
Cold bite is good for a race pad, so pedal feel is predictable from the first stop. Once hot, it remains stable and easy to modulate, helping you brake later and more confidently. Noise and dust can be higher than OEM, and performance road use is possible, but this is primarily a motorsport compound.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
