PAGID RSL 1 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 8101) S8101L01001
RSL 1 is PAGIDs proven endurance racing compound. It delivers stable, high friction over long stints with very low fade. Bite is strong yet easy to modulate, so you can trail brake with confidence. Pad and disc wear are both low for a race pad, helping you go longer between changes.
This pad suits heavy, fast cars on iron discs that need consistent performance across heat cycles. It is a popular choice in GT endurance, touring car and long-distance sprint racing. Also works well on powerful track day cars that run sustained sessions.
Motorsport-only compound – not for public road use.

Bedding-in
Apply a firm, progressive bed-in: several medium stops to build heat, then a few hard stops. Allow the brakes to cool fully before racing. This promotes an even transfer layer and consistent performance.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
