PAGID RSL 1 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 8092) – S8092L01001
Engineered for endurance racing, the PAGID RSL 1 delivers consistent, stable braking over long stints. It offers a firm, controllable bite with very low fade, low pad wear, and good disc life. Ideal for heavy, high-power cars that run long sessions.
RSL 1 works from moderate temperatures and shines when worked hard. Expect strong modulation (easy to control pressure) and predictable performance lap after lap. It is best suited to iron discs on GT, touring car and prototype-style setups.
Racing compound – not intended for regular road use.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
