PAGID RSL 1 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 1270) – S1270L01001
RSL 1 is PAGIDs proven endurance racing compound. It gives strong, consistent braking over long stints with excellent control and very low fade. Expect long pad life and low disc wear, even under hard use.
This pad suits heavy and fast cars that work brakes hard on circuit. It delivers a firm, confidence-inspiring pedal with predictable modulation, so you can brake later and manage grip with precision.
RSL 1 performs best when hot. It can be noisy and dusty, and may feel dull when cold. It is designed for the track, not daily road driving.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
