PAGID RSH 42 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 4501) S4501H42001
Built for historic and club-level motorsport, the PAGID RSH 42 is a dependable medium-friction race compound. It bites well from cold, stays stable as temperatures rise, and gives smooth pedal feel for confident modulation. Ideal for consistent laps and stages without harsh rotor wear.
RSH 42 suits front or rear use on lighter cars, and is often used on the rear of more powerful setups. It works on tarmac and gravel and is a strong choice for sprint, hillclimb, rally and track day use where control and repeatability matter.
Motorsport use only. Not approved for public road use.

Bed-in guidance
Bring the pads up to temperature with several light-to-medium stops. Avoid holding the car stationary with hot brakes. Allow to cool fully before hard use for a consistent transfer layer and best performance.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
