PAGID RS 42 Racing Brake Pad (Shape 8000) E8000R4201
The PAGID RS 42 is a trusted racing compound for track days, club racing and tarmac rally. It gives stable, predictable braking with a smooth pedal feel. Initial bite is moderate, modulation is excellent, and fade resistance is strong once up to temperature. It is kind on discs and wears well for a motorsport pad.
RS 42 compound overview
– Medium friction compound with consistent feel across a wide temperature range.
– Easy to control on the limit – ideal for learning tracks or long sessions.
– Low disc aggression compared to more aggressive race compounds.
– Strong cold bite for a race pad, so usable in mixed conditions.
Best use and vehicle suitability
– Track day and club racing for hot hatches and lightweight sports cars.
– Classic and historic racing where low disc wear and control matter.
– Tarmac rally and sprint events needing stable, repeatable stops.
– Endurance stints on lighter cars or the rear axle on heavier cars.

Important notes
Racing compound – not R90 approved for road use. Expect more dust and possible noise than OE pads. For best results, pair with quality high-temperature fluid and performance discs.

Bedding-in guide
– 6-8 gentle stops from 60-20 mph to warm the pads.
– 4-6 medium stops from 70-20 mph to build temperature.
– 2-3 firm stops from higher speed, without holding the car stationary.
– Drive to cool with minimal braking.
Repeat once more if needed until pedal feel is consistent.
