The PAGID RS 42 compound is a trusted club-race and track day pad. It gives strong cold bite, smooth pedal feel, and stable performance as temperatures rise. It is easy to modulate, so you can brake later with confidence and control. Rotor wear is low for a racing pad, making it a solid choice for frequent track use.
RS 42 suits front use on light to medium weight cars, or rear use on heavier cars. It works well in sprint racing, track days, rally tarmac and hillclimb. It pairs well with ABS thanks to its consistent friction and easy modulation.

Bed-in guidance
Bring the pads and discs up to temperature with a series of medium stops. Avoid coming to a complete halt while hot. Allow to cool before hard use. Repeat if needed until the friction surface is uniform.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
