The PAGID RS 42 compound delivers reliable, repeatable stopping power for track days, club racing, and light endurance use. It offers strong bite with smooth pedal feel, resists fade at high temperatures, and is kind to discs. A great choice if you want confidence and control lap after lap.
Why choose RS 42
RS 42 (often known as Blue) is a medium-friction racing compound. It warms up quickly, works consistently across a wide temperature range, and provides excellent modulation so you can fine-tune brake pressure into the corner. Wear rates are low and rotor life is good, making it a proven all-rounder for many track-focused builds.
Best suited to
– Track day and club racing on light to medium-weight cars
– Sprint and hillclimb events needing fast warm-up and control
– Front or rear axle use where balance and pedal feel matter
What to expect
Expect strong, stable braking and easy control on track. Some brake noise and dust are normal with race pads. They need proper bedding-in to perform at their best. Cold bite is better than some race compounds, but still below a true road pad.
Important: This is a motorsport compound and is not intended for normal road use.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
