NGK IKR7D Iridium Spark Plug (Stock 4759)
The NGK IKR7D is a high-quality iridium spark plug designed for stable ignition under hard use. It delivers a strong, consistent spark, helping the engine start cleanly and run smoothly. Iridium is a very hard metal, so the fine centre electrode lasts longer and resists wear better than standard plugs.
A heat range of 7 suits demanding driving and lightly to moderately tuned engines, where combustion temperatures are higher. Expect reliable performance, better throttle response, and stable idle when the plug is matched to the engine’s needs.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
