NGK IFR7N10 Iridium Spark Plug – Stock No. 97105
This NGK iridium spark plug is built for strong ignition, smooth idle, and long service life. The fine-wire iridium tip needs less voltage to spark, which helps cold starts and keeps performance consistent under load. It also resists wear better than standard copper plugs, so intervals can be longer when the engine and driving style allow.

Fitment guidance
Typically used where a heat range 7 iridium plug with a 1.0 mm gap is specified. Fits a range of modern petrol engines. Use our vehicle lookup to confirm, or check the Vehicle Fitment tab for full details.
Note: Do not force-gap fine-wire iridium plugs. Adjust carefully if required and only within the vehicle maker’s limits. Torque to spec to avoid thread or seat damage.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
