NGK DF8H-11B Spark Plug (Stock No. 1305)
The NGK DF8H-11B is a high quality spark plug for consistent ignition under demanding use. It delivers a strong, clean spark to help the engine start easily, run smoothly, and respond well. Heat range 8 suits engines that run hotter, including performance builds and hard road use.
It uses NGK’s proven copper core with a nickel alloy tip for reliable heat transfer and long life. The preset 1.1 mm gap makes setup simple. This is a non-resistor plug, aimed at applications that specify a non-resistor type.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
