NGK BR7EF Spark Plug – Stock No. 3346
The NGK BR7EF is a reliable, colder heat range spark plug for performance and tuned petrol engines. It uses a resistor to reduce electrical noise and a durable nickel alloy electrode for consistent ignition. The heat range 7 runs cooler than standard road plugs, helping reduce knock under high load.
It is a good choice for turbo or high-compression setups that regularly see higher cylinder temperatures. Expect smoother combustion, better throttle response, and stable spark at increased boost. For stock, lightly tuned, or daily use, benefits will be modest.
Use the vehicle lookup to confirm fitment, or check the Vehicle Fitment tab for details. This plug suits engines that specify a 14 mm thread, 19 mm reach, gasket seat, and NGK heat range 7.

Setup guidance
Gap the plug to your engine’s specification. Turbo engines often run 0.7-0.8 mm to avoid spark blowout at high boost. Apply a new crush washer and torque correctly:
– Aluminium head: 25-30 Nm
– Cast iron head: 39-43 Nm
Re-check after initial heat cycles. Do not overtighten. Always follow the vehicle manufacturer’s spec.
