NGK BR6HIX Iridium IX Spark Plug – 3419
The NGK BR6HIX is an Iridium IX spark plug designed for reliable ignition and long life. The fine-wire iridium centre electrode needs less voltage to spark. This helps cold starts, smoother idle, and cleaner combustion. It also resists fouling in stop-start use and at low speeds.
Suitable for many small two-stroke and four-stroke engines that use a 14 mm, gasket-seat plug with 12.7 mm reach and NGK heat range 6. Please use the vehicle lookup to confirm fitment or check the Vehicle Fitment tab.

Installation Notes
– Check and set the gap to the engine maker’s spec. Avoid forcing the fine-wire tip.
– Fit with a new gasket. Tighten to the correct torque for a 14 mm gasket-seat plug.
– Compare dimensions with your original plug before installation.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
