NGK BP6ET Spark Plug – Stock No. 1263
A durable copper-core spark plug with a projected tip and triple ground electrodes. Designed for stable ignition, clean running, and long service life. Ideal for petrol engines that specify a non-resistor, 14 mm thread plug with 19 mm reach.

Installation notes: Fit to a cold engine. Hand-tight to seat the gasket, then tighten 1/2 turn (new washer) or 1/12 turn (used washer). Do not over-tighten. Use dielectric grease on the boot if needed.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
