NGK BCPR6EY-11 Spark Plug – Stock No. 3720
This NGK BCPR6EY-11 is a reliable OE-style copper core spark plug with a projected tip and resistor. It uses NGK’s V-groove ground electrode for a strong, consistent spark. Expect smooth idle, clean starts, and stable performance in standard and mildly tuned petrol engines.

Fitment Guidance

Installation Notes
– Check and adjust the gap only if your engine requires a different setting.
– Install on a cold engine. Hand-tighten, then torque to manufacturer spec. For a 14 mm gasket-seat plug, NGK typically advises around 18-25 Nm if no OE spec is given.
– Refit coil or lead securely and clear any fault codes after installation.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
