MST Performance VAG EA211 1.2/1.4 TSI Turbo Intake Kit – MST-VW-MK708
This intake kit from MST Performance is designed to improve airflow into the turbocharger on VAG EA211 1.2 and 1.4 TSI/TFSI engines. By replacing the restrictive factory intake pipe with a freer-flowing alternative, the kit helps the turbo breathe more easily – which can result in a more responsive throttle, reduced turbo lag (the slight delay before the turbo kicks in), and a more satisfying sound from the induction system.
It is a worthwhile upgrade whether your car is running standard power or has already been tuned. Better airflow is always a benefit, and this kit is designed to work alongside other modifications as well as on an otherwise stock vehicle.

What to Expect
You can reasonably expect improved throttle response and a sharper, more direct feel when accelerating. The turbocharger should feel more responsive, particularly in the lower rev range where standard intakes tend to be most restrictive. You may also notice a more audible induction sound, including a more pronounced blow-off valve (BOV) noise – the characteristic whoosh sound when you lift off the throttle.
As with any intake upgrade, results will vary depending on the overall state of tune of the vehicle. This is not a dramatic power modification on its own, but it forms a solid foundation as part of a broader performance build.

MADE TO ORDER in blue means we've partnered with a supplier which primarily makes their products to order. It's not on our shelf, but your order goes into production immediately.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
Products on the Progressive Parts website that meet this approval will be clearly marked or labelled EC or ECE approved.
