MST Performance Toyota Corolla 2.0L Air Intake Kit (MST-TY-AUS01)
The MST Performance air intake kit is a straightforward upgrade that replaces the restrictive factory airbox on the Toyota Corolla 2.0L with a free-flowing induction setup. By allowing more cold air to reach the turbocharger more efficiently, the engine can breathe better – resulting in improved throttle response and modest power gains you can actually feel on the road.
Dyno testing has shown gains of up to 6-8bhp depending on the vehicle’s state of tune, though results will vary. On a standard car, you’ll notice a sharper, more responsive throttle. On an already tuned vehicle, this kit complements existing modifications well and helps make the most of any additional performance work.
Alongside the performance benefit, you’ll also hear a more pronounced induction sound – the characteristic intake noise that comes with removing the sound-deadening factory airbox. For many drivers, that’s part of the appeal.

Build Quality
MST Performance use quality components throughout. The powder-coated metalwork resists corrosion and looks clean under the bonnet, while the dry pleated filter is simple to maintain – just remove, clean, and refit when needed. No specialist tools are required for the installation.

MADE TO ORDER in blue means we've partnered with a supplier which primarily makes their products to order. It's not on our shelf, but your order goes into production immediately.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
