What these springs do

This kit lowers your R56 by around 30 mm front and rear. Dropping the car brings the body closer to the road, which lowers the centre of gravity. This helps reduce body roll in corners and makes the car feel more planted and predictable.

The springs use progressive rates. This means the first part of the spring movement is softer for comfort, and the firmness builds up as you push harder. At low speeds and on normal roads, the ride stays smooth and controlled. When you drive faster, the car resists roll better and responds more directly to steering input.

Ride comfort and everyday use

These springs are designed to work with standard (OE) dampers, so you do not need to change your shocks when fitting them, as long as the existing dampers are in good condition. Comfort is close to stock in normal driving, with a firmer, more controlled feel when you push on.

Note: Any lowering spring will make the ride a bit firmer. If your roads are very rough, expect to feel bumps more than on the standard suspension, but most owners find the trade-off well worth it for the handling and appearance gains.
