Maxton Design's Warranty Policy

As an authorized reseller of Maxton Design products, we're here to help you understand the warranty for your new styling parts. Maxton Design creates high-quality body kits and accessories, and they stand behind their products with a clear warranty policy. This guide explains what Maxton Design covers, what they don't, and how we, as your reseller, can assist you with a claim.

What Maxton Design's Warranty COVERS (The Good News!)

Maxton Design guarantees their products against problems that come from how they made the product (manufacturing faults) or the materials they used (material defects). These are usually apparent at the point of delivery, if you think there is a defect on delivery DO NOT remove the film, contact us straight away with pictures

• Warranty Period: This warranty lasts for 12 months (1 year) from your purchase date.
• What this Means: If your Maxton Design part develops a defect purely due to a fault in its production or the materials, Maxton Design will, at their discretion, repair or replace it.
• Proof Required: You must be the original purchaser and provide us with your proof of purchase (like your receipt or order confirmation from us).

In short: If a problem is due to how Maxton Design manufactured the part, you're covered.

What Maxton Design's Warranty DOES NOT Cover (Important Information!)

It's crucial to understand that Maxton Design's warranty does NOT cover problems caused by anything other than a manufacturing or material fault. This most commonly includes:

1. Damage from Fitting or Installation:

   • Incorrect Fitting: Any issues or damage that happens because the product wasn't installed correctly.
   • DIY or Non-Professional Fitting: Damage or defects if the product wasn't installed by a qualified, professional vehicle body shop or mechanic. Maxton Design parts often require expert knowledge and adjustments.
   • Damage during installation: Scratches, cracks, or breaks that occur while the part is being put onto your car.
   • Remember: Maxton Design parts are not "plug and play." Professional installation is essential.

2. Impact or Physical Damage:

   • Hitting kerbs, speed bumps, potholes, or any other objects.
   • Damage from stone chips, road debris, or other impacts.
   • Accident damage (e.g., collisions).
   • Damage from pressure washers or automated car washes.
   • Damage caused by dropping or mishandling the part.

3. Normal Wear and Tear:

   • Minor scratches, scuffs, or chips that occur with everyday use.
   • Fading of colour or finish over time due to sun exposure or weathering.

4. Cleaning & Maintenance Damage:

   • Damage from using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or incorrect cleaning methods.

5. Modifications or Alterations:

   • Any changes you make to the product, such as cutting, drilling, painting (unless it's a part designed to be painted before fitting), or attaching other non-Maxton Design parts.

6. Consequential Damage:

   • Maxton Design is not responsible for any other damage to your vehicle, or any additional costs like fitting/removal charges, loss of vehicle use, or other expenses that might arise if their part fails. Their responsibility is limited to repairing or replacing the faulty Maxton Design part itself.

7. Loss or Theft:

   • If the product is lost or stolen.

In short: If the problem isn't a manufacturing defect, or if it's due to how the part was used, fitted, or damaged externally, it's not covered.

How to Make a Warranty Claim Through Us

If you believe your Maxton Design product has a problem covered by their warranty, here’s how we can help you with the claim process:

1. Stop Using the Product! If possible, avoid further use of the product to prevent additional damage. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
2. Gather Your Information:
   • Locate your proof of purchase (your original receipt or order confirmation from us).
   • Take clear photos and/or videos that show the problem and how the product is fitted to your vehicle.
3. Contact Us First:
   • Please contact our customer service team directly at [email protected]. Do not contact Maxton Design directly, as all warranty claims must go through the original point of sale (us!).
   • Explain the issue and provide the information you gathered in step 2.
4. Follow Our Instructions: We will guide you through the next steps. This might involve us requesting the product back for inspection. You will typically be responsible for the shipping costs to send the product to us for assessment.
5. Our Assessment & Maxton Design's Decision: We will assess the product and, if necessary, forward it to Maxton Design for their inspection. Maxton Design will then determine if the issue is covered under their warranty policy.
6. Resolution: If the claim is approved by Maxton Design, they will, at their discretion, either:
   • Repair your faulty product.
   • Replace it with a new or equivalent product.
   • (In rare cases) Offer a refund for the product.

Important Things to Keep in Mind

• This warranty is only for the original person who bought the product from us.
• Maxton Design has the final say on all warranty claims.
