Forge Motorsport Splitter Recirculation and Blow Off Valve
The Forge Motorsport Splitter is a unique valve that combines blow off and recirculation valve operation, designed for turbo engined applications with metered airflow management systems. This valve allows for the noise of a blow off valve while retaining compatibility with the engine management system’s recirculation requirements. Additionally, it can be converted to recirculation only mode for stealth running.
The valve features a Brass piston with new sealing technology and a variable spring preload, allowing for precise adjustment to match the valve to your engine. It uses a single, conical, progressive rate spring for unrestricted piston travel and flow volume over a wide adjustment range.
Unlike other manufacturers’ valves, the Forge Motorsport Splitter uses a unique spring design that ensures unrestricted piston travel and flow volume, without experiencing restricted piston travel and reduced flow volume.
Installation of the valve requires fitting the side pipe into the Turbo Intake Hose and connecting the base pipe to the hose running to the boost side of the turbo.
In The Box:
1 x FMDVSPLTR Valve
1 x Valve Blanking Cap
1 x Instruction Booklet
1 x Forge Sticker
The valve has a port size of 25mm.
Service for this valve involves removing the 3 cap screws at the base of the valve, cleaning the piston chamber using brake cleaner or similar cleaning fluid, and installing the new spring and piston. Fitting of the part is available at our performance workshop at Progressive Parts.
Adjustment guide:
First turn the valve adjustment knob all the way down in the anti-clockwise direction, then turn the valve adjustment knob in the clockwise direction to the appropriate tension level, as set out below:
- Standard engine 16 clicks
- Stage 1 remap 21 clicks
- Stage 2 remap 25 clicks
These adjustment recommendations are a general guide and may require fine tuning by 1 or 2 clicks in either direction to achieve optimum performance. There will be no significant performance benefit adjusting the valve over 30 clicks as the spring will have reached its maximum operating tension.
