Forge Motorsport E-DV Recirculating Valve for VAG 1.8/2.0 TSI EA888 Gen 3
FMEDV103R is a direct-fit electronic diverter valve for popular VW Group 1.8 and 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen 3 engines. It replaces the factory valve to give faster, more consistent boost control. This is the recirculating version, so the sound stays subtle and close to OEM.
Why choose this valve
- Plug-and-play with the factory connector – no vacuum lines or extra parts.
- Quicker response for crisper throttle and smoother gear changes.
- Improved sealing to hold boost more reliably, especially on tuned cars.
- Built from billet aluminium with an integrated electronic pilot valve.
- 360-degree clockable body to help fit in tight spaces.
- Serviceable design for long-term reliability.
- Helps reduce compressor surge for smoother turbo operation.
What it does
A diverter valve releases pressurised air when you lift off the throttle. This protects the turbo and keeps it spinning. The car then gets back on boost more quickly when you press the throttle again.
The Forge E-DV reacts faster than many factory valves and holds boost more securely. Expect better consistency and drivability rather than a big power increase on its own.
Fitment
Designed for popular VW and Audi 1.8 and 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen 3 engines used across the MQB platform. Typical models include:
- VW Golf Mk7/Mk7.5 GTI and R, Audi S3 8V and A3 1.8/2.0 TFSI
- Cupra/SEAT Leon 5F 1.8/2.0 TSI, Skoda Octavia vRS Mk3
Use our vehicle lookup to confirm fitment for your car, or check the Vehicle Fitment tab for full details.
Important: For EA888 Gen 3 engines only. Not for MQB EVO EA888.4 engines found in many 2021-on models.
Good to know
This FMEDV103R is the recirculating version, so it keeps the sound close to stock. No ECU remap is required. It is a direct replacement for the OEM valve on the turbo housing. The clockable body helps achieve a neat install, and the unit is fully serviceable to maintain performance over time.
