Forge Motorsport E-DV Atmospheric Valve for MQB EVO EA888.4
The Forge E-DV Atmospheric Valve is a direct-fit upgrade for 2021-on VW Group 2.0 TSI MQB EVO EA888.4 engines. It replaces the factory valve to sharpen boost control and adds a clean, pronounced blow-off sound. SKU: FMEDV106A.
What it does
A diverter valve releases pressurised air when you lift off the throttle. This protects the turbo and helps it stay spinning, so the car gets back on boost faster when you accelerate again.
This Forge E-DV reacts quickly and seals well, especially on tuned cars. Expect smoother gear changes and more consistent boost. It will not add big power on its own, but it will make the boost you have work more reliably.
Being an atmospheric type, it vents to air, so you get a sharper “whoosh” on lift-off compared with the stock recirculating valve.
Why choose this E-DV
- Plug-and-play with the factory connector – no vacuum lines or extra solenoids.
- Faster response for crisper throttle and smoother shifts.
- Improved sealing for steady boost and fewer false EML triggers.
- Billet aluminium body with an integrated electronic pilot valve proven in motorsport.
- 360-degree clockable body to aid installation in tight spaces.
- Fully serviceable design for long-term reliability.
- Helps prevent compressor surge for smoother turbo operation.
- Clear atmospheric blow-off sound without drone.

Good to know
No ECU remap is required. It is a direct replacement for the OEM valve on the turbo housing.
Built from billet aluminium, with a clockable body for a neat install. The unit is serviceable, so you can maintain performance over time.
If you prefer a near-stock sound, Forge also offer a recirculating version. This FMEDV106A is the atmospheric option for a more audible blow-off.
