Upgrading to a premium high friction pad like ED+ is the most cost-effective strategy to improve your truck or SUV's braking performance. ED+ stands for increased friction, enhanced heat tolerance, and extended lifespan. Crafted entirely in the UK at the EBC Brakes factory, these pads are made from aramid fibers with a minimal amount of steel fiber. Not only does the ED+ range offer superior performance, but it's also gentler on rotors and produces very little dust
Extra Duty Pad Features
- British-made, top-quality product, now identifiable by its new Red paint finish, part of the grade AF 903/09 series.
- Backing plates feature NUCAP NRS system hook technology, ensuring a bond strength 5 times greater than conventional pads.
- Pads become silent after bedding, typically within 600-800 miles.
- Incorporates a new dual slot and chamfer pattern for reduced noise and enhanced de-gassing.
- Fade-resistant brake material suitable for a broad range of operating temperatures.
- Initial seating of pads to discs/rotors recommended through normal urban driving, followed by 15 medium to heavy brake applications after 600-800 miles to complete the bed-in and surface cure process.
- Provides more brake "grip" than standard and most low-cost aftermarket pads, yet more cost-effective than original parts.
- Longer lifespan than any previous pads made by us, and potentially the longest available in the aftermarket, surpassing even stock pads.
- Features a red "brake in" surface coating for immediate, safe braking post-installation.
