Cobra Sport performance exhausts enhance the sound, looks and quality of your vehicle giving you the ultimate driving experience. Our sports exhausts range is fully guaranteed to give you assurance of our quality.
This VW Polo GTI 1.8 TSI cat back performance exhaust is made in 2.5″ / 63.5mm pipework and fits from the front pipe / catalyst backwards (Cat-back system) these exhausts replace the front box, centre and rear sections.
The resonated sports exhaust includes the centre silencer and has a subtle but sporty tone. This part is also available as a non-resonated version which is a louder option as it excludes the centre silencer and therefore, has a sportier exhaust note.
All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied.

The latest vehicle to pass through the Cobra Sport exhaust development process is the MK6 VW Polo GTI 1.8 TSI. Having previously achieved impressive results from the previous 1.4 Polo GTI we were keen to get the new 1.8 litre model in for development to create a new range of Cobra Sport performance exhausts.
The larger 1.8 litre engine in the new Polo GTI produces 190bhp as standard matched with an impressive 236 lb-ft of torque giving the lightweight Polo impressive performance figures on paper whilst creating an exhilarating drive.
The Cobra Sport team were able to reduce the weight of the exhaust system by an impressive 41% over the OEM system with the resonated 2.5″ cat back system weighing in at only 9.52kg compared to the original 16.20kg. The de-cat and sports cat front pipes have been enlarged to 3″ bore and offer a weight saving of 0.60kg.
The new systems benefit from all of the usual Cobra Sport refinements with mandrel bent, TIG welded, grade 304 stainless steel used throughout the systems as standard. You can therefore be assured of only the best quality in a Cobra Sport system.

“The new Cobra Sport systems greatly improve the exhaust pitch and tone and add the sporty edge which was missing from the factory system. The resonated cat back system offers the subtlest upgrade offering an increase of 10db over the standard system in the 4,000 rpm static test. The resonated cat back exhaust upgrade is designed to provide a purposeful but unobtrusive pitch perfect sound quality which in no way interferes with day-to-day drivability.”
The styling of the system is finished off with a choice of twin 3″ and 3.25″ tailpipes in a highly polished T304 stainless steel finish. These options include a less obtrusive oval slash cut version which further compliments the VW Polo GTI aesthetics.

Cobra's Warranty Policy
- Guarantees offered with exhaust systems extends to the original purchaser when registered online within 28 days of receipt. All products not registered online within 28 days of receipt of goods will be subject to a 1-year manufacturing warranty.
- The lifetime Guarantee offered with exhaust systems extends only to guarantee that the stainless steel will not corrode for the period specified.
- High flow sports catalysts, flexes and downpipes are exempt from the lifetime warranty and is covered by a 2 year / 80,000Km warranty.
- The warranty is limited to defects recognised by our technical department and to normal use and excludes items subject to normal wear and tear (e.g. gaskets, rubbers, clamps and exhaust packing)
- The Guarantee extends only to the value on replacement, of the accepted goods by the Company as faulty from the original user and does not cover any consequential loss or damage or any other expenses.
- The Goods must be returned to the Distribution Centre (Unit 7, Surbiton Street, Sheffield, S9 2DN) at the buyer’s own cost, together with the sales invoice (plus supply invoice if trade resale) in the event of any claim arising.
- The Guarantee does not cover defects or faults which may arise by reason of accidental damage, neglect, misuse, modification, improper installation and maintenance, wrongful application or competition use. In addition, the Guarantee does not include where damage has been caused as a result of any defect or malfunction of any other part of the vehicle including non-approved accessories.
- The Company does not guarantee that any exhaust systems are suitable to be used on vehicles which are to be driven on the public highway and cannot accept responsibility for systems which do not meet legal requirements.
- Where part exhaust systems are fitted, the Company cannot accept liability for any subsequent damage to any part of the exhaust system which is caused as a result of defects in the exhaust parts which were not replaced.
- No guarantee can be made by the Company with regards to the sound and performance of exhaust systems on any vehicles.
- No guarantee is applicable where parts have been used in non-standard applications (i.e. nitrous oxide / NOS or where damage has occurred in lowered vehicles going over speed bumps for example) or where modifications have been made to increase the power of the vehicle beyond 33% of its original specification.
- Where vehicles use our workshop facilities your attention has been drawn to the displayed signs which state that all ramps and equipment are used on vehicles entirely at the vehicle owner’s risk.
- Where the Goods are fitted in our workshop, no claims for negligent damage to property by the Company can be considered once the vehicles have left the premises.
- The Buyer must follow the current procedures for warranty claims as specified by Exhausts UK Ltd/Cobra Sport and the Company reserves the right to change procedures at any time with written notification.
Sport/Performance Catalysts are not guaranteed to pass emissions tests and failure to do so does not constitute a warranty claim.

Stock at Progressive Parts
Delivery timescales are given as estimates in good faith, but cannot be taken as precise or exact information. We highly advise against booking installation/workshop time or engaging in preparatory work until you've received and inspected the goods.
What do our stock statuses mean?
1+ IN STOCK in green stock is readily available in one of our warehouses for express delivery (at the time of viewing).
LOW STOCK in green means we're running low! 1 or 2 left on the shelf so act fast. Over evenings, weekends and bank holidays this stock can move quickly so please bear this in mind.
0 IN STOCK in blue means our primary warehouse does not have unallocated stock, but our UK partners do. Often these can be shipped quickly and efficiently. You'll be notified via the Track My Order page if further delays are unavoidable.
MADE TO ORDER in blue means we've partnered with a supplier which primarily makes their products to order. It's not on our shelf, but your order goes into production immediately.
0 IN STOCK in orange means everybody we work with is unfortunately out of stock. Stock is not available in the UK. The best course of action is to place an order to create an allocation from the next batch arriving.
OUT OF STOCK in red. This product is unavailable to order, for whatever reason we're unable to obtain stock or there is an issue with supply/lead times.

Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
