This VW Golf R performance exhaust is made in 3″/76.2mm pipework and fits from the turbo backwards (Turbo back system) these exhausts replace the front pipe, standard catalyst, centre and rear sections.

The sports cat exhaust version is intended for off road/motorsport use only, not type approved and NOT guaranteed to pass UK MOT emissions test or police road side checks.

The de-cat exhaust version is sold for motorsport and off road use only and will NOT be able to pass a UK MOT emissions test or police road side checks

This resonated sports exhaust includes the centre silencer and has a subtle but sporty tone. This part is also available as a non-resonated version which is a louder option as it excludes the centre silencer and therefore, has a sportier exhaust note.

Cobra Sport have gained a fantastic reputation in the Japanese, Ford and Vauxhall exhaust markets over the years and they hope to capitalise on this success by launching a more comprehensive selection of VAG products over the coming months to complement and expand their market reach. Therefore, they have now added the VW Golf R MK6 to their range.

The system benefits from all of the usual Cobra Sport refinements with mandrel bent, TIG welded, grade 304 stainless steel used throughout the systems as standard. You can therefore be assured of only the best quality in a Cobra Sport system.

Matt Thomas, Sales Manager at Cobra Sport says “The Golf R MK6 system has provided us with some exciting results, independent testing has revealed that the 3″ Turbo back upgrade with a re-map produces over a 20% increase in BHP. A substantial weight saving can also be achieved with the 3” turbo back system providing a whopping 50% decrease in weight from the Original Equipment version. The Cobra Sport system really improves the drivability of this car and takes it to the next level.”

The styling of the system is finished off with either a refined twin 4″ slash-cut tailpipe or for something a little different there is the option of a matte black finish on the same tailpipes.
