Akrapovič BMW M3/M4 (G8X) Slip-On Line Exhaust System
This high-grade lightweight titanium exhaust system, finished with hand-crafted carbon-fibre tailpipes, is 35% lighter than the stock exhaust and features a pair of collectors cast in Akrapovič’s in-house foundry. The Slip-On Line (Titanium) includes a specially developed Akrapovič control kit to deliver a complete sound experience. The exhaust provides a rich tone during normal cruising, which deepens to a sporty sound when the BMW M3/M4 is driven more dynamically, offering the perfect balance of comfort and sportiness across all rpm ranges. The tailpipes are available in a ground-breaking octagonal shape made from lightweight titanium with a carbon-fibre outer sleeve, or for more traditional preferences, there is a classic cylindrical design.
The system delivers a power increase of 8.0 kW (10.9 hp) at 6,000 rpm and a torque gain of 13.9 Nm at 5,000 rpm, as tested on the Akrapovič dyno against a BMW M4 Competition with a standard stock exhaust. No remapping is required for this configuration, and it fits all vehicles (both OPF and non-OPF). However, the ECE certificate is only valid for cars equipped with an OPF filter.
For customers interested in closed circuit use, optional link pipes and downpipes are available. An optional Akrapovič Sound Kit is also offered. It is important to note that the installation of optional link pipes, downpipes, and the Akrapovič Sound Kit will invalidate the ECE type approval of the Slip-On Line (Titanium). For added visual impact, an optional hand-crafted carbon-fibre rear diffuser is also available to complement the Akrapovič tailpipes.
This exhaust system is compatible with xDrive, CSL, M3 Touring (G81), M4 (G83) Competition, and Convertible models. However, the ECE type-approval certificate is not valid for the CSL model.
The Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system is ECE type approved for vehicles equipped with an Otto/gasoline particulate filter.
