Akrapovič BMW M2 (G87) Slip-On Line Titanium Exhaust System
This exhaust system is entirely constructed from high-grade titanium and features unique components, including two valves—one for each side of the muffler—and two acoustic reflectors. The valve housings and collectors are all cast in Akrapovič’s in-house titanium foundry. The system offers a choice between two tailpipe designs: the innovative octagonal shape first seen on the BMW M3/M4 exhaust or a more traditional classic style. Both twin sets of tailpipes are crafted with carbon-fibre outer sleeves, contributing to a significant weight reduction of 7.3 kg (32.7%) compared to the standard stock exhaust.
On the Akrapovič dyno, the exhaust demonstrated an increase of 3.9 kW (5.3 hp) at 2,800 rpm and a torque gain of 13.5 Nm at 2,800 rpm when tested against a BMW M2 Coupé with a standard stock exhaust. This system has been meticulously developed to enhance the driving experience, offering a refined, smooth tone during normal cruising and a deep, sporty sound when the M2 Coupé is driven more dynamically. The advanced Akrapovič control kit, integrated with the exhaust’s valves and acoustic reflectors, optimises the gas flow to tailor the sound precisely to driving conditions.
No ECU remapping is required, and the exhaust meets ECE type-approval standards for the BMW M2 Coupé (G87) equipped with Otto/gasoline particulate filters.
Optional link pipes and downpipes are available for track use, along with the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit. Please note that installing these optional components will invalidate the ECE type approval of the Slip-On Line (Titanium).
The Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system is ECE type approved for vehicles equipped with an Otto/gasoline particulate filter.
