Akrapovič Audi RS6 (C8) Avant Evolution Titanium Exhaust System

Crafted from high-grade lightweight titanium, the Evolution Line exhaust system boasts a specially designed layout featuring one central and two side mufflers, along with a titanium collector. These components are connected via stainless steel link pipes, which have a larger diameter compared to the stock setup, and custom-made flex tubes that are fully insulated where they attach to the downpipes. Each side muffler is equipped with a valve to control gas flow, enhancing the system’s impressive sound. These valves, along with the complex active X-connection – which also includes a valve for managing exhaust pulses from both sides of the engine – are cast in Akrapovič’s in-house foundry. The system is finished with unique carbon fibre/titanium tailpipes, one on each side, featuring a striking design that has never been seen before. The handmade, dynamically shaped carbon fibre outer sleeve aligns perfectly with the sandblasted and coated titanium inner, creating a powerful and sporty finish to this stunning exhaust system.

The system has been acoustically tuned to perfection, delivering a rich soundtrack at every rev point. From a deep rumble at low revs, through a strong mid-range, to a high-frequency top end, it embodies the distinctive feel of Akrapovič’s racing heritage. This tuning also adds excitement, with every downshift accompanied by a sharp rumble, while still providing the comfort of everyday driving, free from unwanted drone or excessive noise. Akrapovič’s in-house dyno tests of the Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system on an Audi RS 6 Avant Performance (C8), compared to the stock Audi Sport exhaust system, showed a power gain of 15.7 hp at 6150 rpm and a torque increase of 17.9 Nm at 6150 rpm, with a weight saving of over 20% against the stock system.

This ECE-compliant system is a high performer in every respect. Additional modifications can be made with the optional Downpipe/Link pipe set (SS), further enhancing exhaust tuning, and the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit, which allows for greater flexibility in controlling the exhaust valves and the sound produced. To enhance the visual impact of the Evolution Line (Titanium), a handmade carbon fibre diffuser in matte or glossy finish is available as an option to add a special touch.

The Link pipe set (SS) L-AU/SS/8/1 is a mandatory component for the Evolution Line (Titanium) S-AU/T/1H. The system is split into two codes due to packaging requirements.

If the Evolution Line exhaust system is paired with the Downpipe/Link pipe set (SS), the Link pipe set L-AU/SS/8/1 is not required. In this case, ECE type approval is no longer valid, and ECU remapping is mandatory upon installation. Additionally, with the installation of the Akrapovič Sound Kit, ECE type approval for the Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system is invalidated.

ECE type approval is only valid for vehicles equipped with an Otto/gasoline particulate filter.
