Akrapovič BMW M440i (G22/23) Slip-On Line Titanium Exhaust System

Offering significant weight savings, increased power and torque, and a dramatic soundtrack, this exhaust system is constructed from lightweight high-grade titanium and is finished with hand-crafted carbon-fibre tailpipes. The system provides a weight reduction of 11.89 kg—an impressive 33% savings compared to the standard stock system. When tested on the Akrapovič dyno against a BMW M440i with a standard stock exhaust, power and torque were increased by 3.4 kW (4.6 hp) at 2,650 rpm and 12.4 Nm at 2,650 rpm.

An exhilarating soundtrack is delivered through the use of special components integrated into the system. This setup features two valves—one more than the stock configuration—that are calibrated to tailor the sound. Two acoustic reflectors are fitted on the tailpipes to guide the sound into the car’s cabin, creating a fully immersive experience that enhances the driving experience for all occupants. Due to the configuration of the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system, a TNG controller is included to activate the additional exhaust valve. Two resonators, located on either side of the central muffler, further perfect the sound experience. The exhaust delivers a smooth, rich sound during normal cruising, which transforms into a deep and sporty tone when driving more enthusiastically. The tones can also be adjusted from within the cockpit using the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit.

Special parts are cast in Akrapovič’s in-house foundry to create the intricate and complex components required for this system. It meets ECE type approval, and no remapping is needed for this configuration. This system is compatible only with vehicles equipped with the OPF filter, and the ECE certificate is valid only for these cars. For non-OPF vehicles, an Evolution Line system is available. An optional link pipe set is also available for customers seeking an upgrade to the Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system.

Fitment Notice:

  • This product fits the BMW M440i equipped with an OPF.
  • An extra stock valve actuator (part no. 18 30 8 686 640) is required when installing the Slip-On exhaust system on BMW M340i (G20, G21) and M440i (G22, G23, G26).
  • This product also fits the BMW M440i xDrive Cabriolet (G23) model.

What do our stock statuses mean?

1+ IN STOCK in green stock is readily available in one of our warehouses for express delivery (at the time of viewing).

LOW STOCK in green means we're running low! 1 or 2 left on the shelf so act fast. Over evenings, weekends and bank holidays this stock can move quickly so please bear this in mind.

0 IN STOCK in blue means our primary warehouse does not have unallocated stock, but our UK partners do. Often these can be shipped quickly and efficiently. You'll be notified via the Track My Order page if further delays are unavoidable.

MADE TO ORDER in blue means we've partnered with a supplier which primarily makes their products to order. It's not on our shelf, but your order goes into production immediately.

0 IN STOCK in orange means everybody we work with is unfortunately out of stock. Stock is not available in the UK. The best course of action is to place an order to create an allocation from the next batch arriving.

OUT OF STOCK in red. This product is unavailable to order, for whatever reason we're unable to obtain stock or there is an issue with supply/lead times.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".

For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.

Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
