Akrapovič BMW M340i (G20/21) & M440i Gran Coupe (G26) Slip-On Line Titanium Exhaust System

Offering significant weight savings, increased power and torque, and a thrilling soundtrack, this exhaust system is constructed from lightweight high-grade titanium and finished with hand-crafted carbon-fibre tailpipes. The system provides a weight reduction of 11.89 kg, an impressive 33% difference compared to the standard stock system. Power and torque are increased by 3.4 kW (4.6 hp) at 2,650 rpm and 12.4 Nm at 2,650 rpm, as tested on the Akrapovič dyno against a BMW M440i with a standard stock exhaust.

This exhilarating soundtrack is achieved through special components within the system. It features two valves—one more than the stock configuration—calibrated to tailor the sound. Additionally, two acoustic reflectors are fitted on the tailpipes to direct sound into the car’s cabin, creating a fully immersive driving experience that can be enjoyed by all occupants. Due to the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system’s configuration, a TNG controller is included to activate the additional exhaust valve. Two resonators, located on either side of the central muffler, further refine the sound experience. The exhaust provides a smooth, rich sound at normal cruising speeds, which transforms into a deep and sporty tone when driving more enthusiastically. The tones can also be controlled from within the cockpit with the addition of the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit.

Special parts are cast in the Akrapovič in-house foundry to create the intricate and complex components required for this system. It meets ECE type approval, and no remapping is needed for this configuration. The system is only compatible with vehicles equipped with the OPF filter, and the ECE certificate is valid only for these cars. For non-OPF vehicles, an Evolution Line system is available. An optional link pipe set is available for customers seeking an upgrade to the Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system.

Fitment Notice:

  • This product fits on the BMW M340i equipped with an OPF.
  • An extra stock valve actuator (part no. 18 30 8 686 640) is required when installing the Slip-On exhaust system on BMW M340i (G20, G21) and M440i (G22, G23, G26).
  • This product also fits the BMW M340i xDrive Touring (G21) model.

What do our stock statuses mean?

1+ IN STOCK in green stock is readily available in one of our warehouses for express delivery (at the time of viewing).

LOW STOCK in green means we're running low! 1 or 2 left on the shelf so act fast. Over evenings, weekends and bank holidays this stock can move quickly so please bear this in mind.

0 IN STOCK in blue means our primary warehouse does not have unallocated stock, but our UK partners do. Often these can be shipped quickly and efficiently. You'll be notified via the Track My Order page if further delays are unavoidable.

MADE TO ORDER in blue means we've partnered with a supplier which primarily makes their products to order. It's not on our shelf, but your order goes into production immediately.

0 IN STOCK in orange means everybody we work with is unfortunately out of stock. Stock is not available in the UK. The best course of action is to place an order to create an allocation from the next batch arriving.

OUT OF STOCK in red. This product is unavailable to order, for whatever reason we're unable to obtain stock or there is an issue with supply/lead times.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".

For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.

Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
